Nimble Dashboard will be a deployable version of WMSPanel, the cloud control service which our customers from across the globe successfully use since 2011.
This page describes key features of the upcoming product.
Flexible deployment
Nimble Dashboard will be available for deployment as a standalone instance with the following workflow:
- Nimble Dashboard core is installed on any bare metal or virtual server.
- Dashboard License Server is installed anywhere within the reach of Nimble Streamer instances.
- Dashboard License Server must have access to Softvelum License Center operated in Softvelum cloud infrastructure.
- Nimble Streamer instances are installed anywhere a customer needs.
- Nimble instances are registered in Nimble Dashboard for further operations.
- Nimble Dashboard reports Nimble instances to the License server.
- License server reports to Softvelum License Center to define current maintenance cost, in order to make payments (see Dashboard Pricing below).
Control your fleet of servers
WMSPanel cloud service allows you to manage all your Nimble Streamer instances from a single point with no streaming interruption. Nimble Dashboard will provide the same full set of features which is familiar to our customers.
Control the behavior
- Multiple servers can be controlled via singe Dashboard UI.
- Set up live streaming scenarios for incoming streams and define proper live output.
- Set up video-on-demand transmuxing settings if you need VOD.
- Manage Live Transcoder scenarios for live streams transformation: making ABR, scaling and much more.
- Every setting can be applied to multiple servers within a few clicks simultaneously.
- All settings are applied on-the-fly without streaming interruption.
- Use centralized API to control all servers and access all statistics.
- Monitor server performance.
- Create backups of any server configuration in the cloud.
- Restore any server from its previous state if needed.
Multiple user access
- Non-admin users can be given permissions to control Nimble Streamer server instances.
- Admins may also assign a group of non-admins to control a separate group of servers using data slices.
- Non-admin users may have logins to access reporting.
Define paywall settings
- Hotlink protection prevents links sharing.
- Geo-lock sets the limit to viewers by their location.
- Pay-per-view framework allows building sophisticated monetization mechanics.
- Other paywall features that might help your business.
Streaming reporting
Aggregating data from multiple servers and giving access to it and make slices of data to see isolated portions of stats
- Real-time and retrospective reporting.
- Daily stats reports with connections, traffic and bandwidth, geo-location, time metrics, devices and players.
- Unique visitors stats for slices, streams and files.
- In-depth reporting with per-file and per-stream stats.
- High precision report with 5 minutes detail level.
Dashboard Pricing
The pricing consists of two parts:
- Cost of Nimble Streamer instances (50 USD per month per instance), Transcoder licenses (50 USD per month per license) and Addenda licenses (50 USD per month per license).
- Dashboard maintenance fee (TBD).
The payments are made on a monthly basis with an option of up-front payments.
Nimble Dashboard will work as long as its maintenance is covered by respective payments.
